Frowing Up
We have had a good amount of rain lately. In between the showers, we get these beautiful clear days with nice warm weather. This weekend we headed to the beach in the morning. As you can see from Andy's expression, he was excited o get out of the house an unleash his energy on the outside world. He is simply a nut. His vocabulary is off the hook, the kid is saying new words and sentences every day and it's hard not to have a conversation with him without hearing something you haven't heard before. SOme of Andy's current favorite sayings:
"DET UP!" -- Means get up, and do soemthing for me.
"Dat's MINE TaTee!" -- He not so good at sharing right now, were working on that. Katie is being awesome about her brother's selfishness -- perhaps even bordering on enabling...
"You going work DaDeee?" -- He asks me this pretty much every day, wodnering if I am going to work or staying home for the day. Hasnt quite grasped the notion of weekdays vs weekends.
So I have been stricken with the flu since Sunday and Im pulling out of it today. It was prety bad there on Monday and I really couldnt move. Katie was quite concerned and she came into the bedroom and brought me some stuffed animals.
Katie: "Daddy, this is my Teddy Bear and Mountain Lion"
Me: "Thanks Katie, they can keep me company."
Katie: *Excited* "Yeah! They can be in bed with you!" [Katie has the amazing quality of getting excited about the strangest things, her teachers have mentioned it to us as one of her cutest qualities]
Katie: "Daddy, the Mountain Lion is sick too. She frowed up cause she is sick."
Me: "Oh dear, is she OK now.?"
Katie: "Yeah, I gave her some medicine. But when she gets sick, she is going to frow up again."
(The picture of Katie is takn by Jen while laying on the ground at the beach and balancing Katie on her feet.)

Sooo cute - Katie is so gentle and Andrew certainly helps you balance that out. They are both so perfect.
