The transformations have started! When I got up this am I went over to our little friends and noticed that one of them was neatly wrapped up in his chrysalis. The others are also hanging upside down and shaking in a weird way... I guess they shake-it up when it comes to makin'a cocoon...

Super fun, I am sure the adults are having as much fun as the kids.
What I really like about the butterfly process is teaching little ones that Ugly and Icky can be beautiful. Like the ugly ducking who became a swan. But the real lesson is learned when we don't judge things are ugly or beautiful - just interesting, captivating or perhaps unique. Boy, its so easy to sound wise in a blog!!!! :-)

Didn't you read the instructions??? They shake as a defense mechanism to warn off predators in the wild. We had one that shook like crazy, especially when I transfered them into the pavilion.
