Sing Sing
Today, Katie had a special Thanksgiving Pageant at her school. She sang 3 songs with her class for the parents to enjoy. I swear I'm not being one of those parents that thinks their kids is the best when I say, "she really was the best". No really! (To be honest, I can't say with any certainty that there were any other kids in the pageant, as I spent the entire time watching Kate and taking pictures.)
Unrelated story: On the way home, Andy said something funny:
Andy: "Dad, Obee Wun Kenobeee is a good guy and Genwal Greee-vus is a bad guy right?"
Me: That's right.
Andy: "But sometimes Obee Wun Kenobeee cares for Genwal Greee-vus."
Me: "What?"
Andy: "He takes care of him"
Me: "What are you talking about?"
Then I realized that Andy had taken the dialogue in the movie too literally... At one point Obi Wan says, "I'll take care of General Grevious". Classic.

What a beautiful turkey but not for Thanksgiving dinner! We want to hear her sing the song again. It was hard for our old ears to make out the words but the melody came through nicely. She is only a few years away from Broadway!
The Star Trek dude will soon be able to quote every line in Star Trek I,II, and III.
Correction:
Andrew is NOT a Star Trek dude!
It's Star WARS, grandpa!
Geez! What a dummy your grandpa is.
Katie being the only child in the pagent was amazing to me - because EVERYTIME I went to any school activity where you or Tanya would be on stage - none of the other children ever showed up also! We are the lucky ones!
So funny. We realized that Aubrey doesn't understand joking today. Now that Ainsley is sharing most of Aubrey's toys, Aubrey gets pretty emotional by the end of the day, so we cuddle for a good 45 minutes each night after Ainsley is put to bed. Well, we were cuddling this morning watching TV and she got up and left. Mike jumped up into "her" spot. AJ ran back and climbed up trying to squeeze him out. He said, that it was his spot now (in a joking voice) AJ bursted into tears and ran into the other room. Wow, that was a lot shorter in my head, anyway, she is at a very literal stage right now too. And Mike is very concerned about having 3 women in the house with PMS at the same time in several years.
